THE ROAD TO SWEET ENVY

Alistair and Teena grew up and completed their pastry and bakery apprenticeship here in Hobart. They then moved to the mainland to further their skills working in the top restaurants and Hotels of Melbourne.

Looking for further challenges they packed up and moved to London, working in michelin star restaurants. Alistair for Gordon Ramsay ran his Pastry department at The Connaught along side Angela Hartnett,

and Teena working at The Greenhouse and then moving on

to couture cakes to refine her skills as a cake designer.

Traveling around Europe and experiencing different food and cultures

they thought it time to return home to Hobart.

Upon their return they received a call to move to New York to open Gordon Ramsay’s Hotel, Gordon Ramsay at The London, which received numerous awards for the desserts and Best bon bon trolley  whilst there.

They have since been working hard to design a concept involving all of their experiences along their travels and have produced Sweet Envy.
